Healthy eating

I love to cook and enjoy trying out new recipes. Spending time in the kitchen when I was a child with my mum helping her to make cakes, lunch or dinner are some of my fondest memories I have. Now I am lucky enough to have my own lovely kitchen to prepare and serve the days meals in.

For your children I offer traditional homemade meals, breakfast, lunch and tea with healthy snacks to keep energy levels high. With multiple local supermarkets and a wonderful farm shop just up the road providing fresh ingredients, I create nutritious and delicious meals which can be adapted to suit the specific needs of any child.

Personally I think that Jamie Oliver’s school dinner recipes are great inspiration, although my mum’s shepherd’s pie is hard to beat! Here is a link to Jamie’s recipes for your convenience.

I also believe that cake making is a great way to introduce children to the life skill of cooking. Birthday cakes and cupcakes never fail to please and are also a great way to encourage children to do things for others. So far I have not come across a child who doesn’t want their parents to try one of the cakes they are so proud to have made.
